The origin for the word 'Rooh' that means soul: 	The word Rooh in Arabic language means wind or breath.In the past people believed that the main reason for living was breathing.When somebody died they would say that Rooh (soul) had left his/her body. It is for this basis that we say all those who breathe have soul and vegetables do not have Rooh or soul.You see that such a simple word during time has become an imaginary entity called soul these days.
